Question Games Crashing

Hello guys,

So some of my games crash and say it's my GPU or ask me to verify the integrity of files. Warzone crashes with the error code 0x887A0005/0x887A0007 and asks me to verify. GOW crashed saying something about my GPU which I highly doubt it was. While doing so, I looked at my task manager to check for any unusual spikes from CPU, memory, or power and none of the above did anything. I've tried reinstalling my drivers using DDU and updating my bios and such. I have also run a memory test which all passed and I recently upgraded my PSU from a 650W to a 750W. I have also checked the temperatures and they seemed normal when I play as well. Any help is appreciated.

My specs

ASUS TUF GAMING B550 PLUS
EVGA GeForce RTX 3080
EVGA SuperNOVA 750 GT 80 Plus GOLD 750W
Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32GB DDR4 3600
AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 8-core

EDIT: When I was looking through driver easy, I did notice there were 2 AMD PCI that were labelled unplugged and needed updates as well as the AMD PSP 11.0 Device that is required an update but also unplugged.

Did this only start after replacing the psu or has it been a thing since before the psu.... If it only started after the new psu was installed there's where to start probably has a bad cap or something like that in it and needs to replaced by seller/rma by manufacturer

Its been a thing before the psu. I had a 650W psu before and I thought that was the issue and just installed the new one today but it still crashes on certain games like warzone 2.0, spiderman miles morales and GOW

I've ran a pcbenchmark and there was no issues. I also used pcmonitor or something like that to check if the temperatures were correct.

I was thinking it might be faulty in the GPU or CPU.
I would double check the pins on the CPU for bent pins before deciding faulty CPU.

Did you install the motherboard drivers as well when updating the bios?

I'll check the pins for my CPU but I don't think there was any when I installed it because I installed this PC a couple months ago. I don't think I downloaded motherboard drivers when I updated my bios I'll try that. I'll also try the drivers you listed.

Your CPU has no apu which maybe why
I don't see any pins bent on my CPU and I tried installing those MOBO drivers which did nothing. I tested Spider-Man Miles morales as well as Warzone 2.0 to test if it was fixed it still crashed. Spider-man crashed upon launch and warzone 2.0 crashes upon loading into the game as usual.

UPDATE: Instead of one cable for my GPU I added another one to see if that fixed it which it did for Spider-man miles morales. Although Warzone 2.0 still crashes which has an error code so I'm pretty sure its just the game and not my computer anymore.

With all of the crashes and trying to run the card on one cable you probably have corrupted files on the hard drive.
The crashing was probably caused by using one instead of 2 PCIE cables.
The hard drive/ssd probably has corrupted files from all of the crashes.
Verify all of your game files and do a windows error check on the disks.

I forgot to mention that I found out that my GPU fans weren't spinning so I downloaded EVGA precision X1 to set them manually. View: https://imgur.com/a/j0U76nI

UPDATE: This gave me the idea of wiping/formatting my drives through bios to consider maybe a corrupted drive. I wiped it last night and I think that fixed my crashes, I'm still testing it just in case but I'll let you know if anything happens. Thanks!

I forgot to mention that before my download speed on steam kept ramping up and down. Like ocassionally it would download at 40mb/s and then drop down to 0.5 kb/s. I was looking at the chart and the line for disk were going up and down so I figured it might be my drives but after wiping them they're downloading constant 40 mb/s and over.
