Games Get Slower the More I Use My PC

Hey guys,
So I have been having this problem for awhile, and I think I know the answer but I'm not quite sure. Right now I am running Windows 8. I recently switched to Windows 8 because I was getting lower FPS when I was on Windows 10. This goes for most games. But this isn't the topic I'm focusing on, I'm focusing on games getting progressively worse in terms of FPS. Once I refresh my PC and start downloading new games, the FPS is fantastic. It runs great, and I am always happy to see an improvement. Last time I did it, I usually got 90 frames walking around in GTAV. After using the computer for awhile I realized that it wasn't running as well. It would stumble down to as low as 35 and 40 which is not that bad, but it's annoying and I should be running better. Here are my specs:
GTX 760
I5 4690K
8GB RAM
Z97 Motherboard
I'm capable of running the game quite well right? This goes for all games aswell, Arma 3 was running great but not as good now. I think the problem is that I have a hard drive and not a ssd for my os, but I wanted to know if it was different or if I was correct.

Thank you.

There may be a lot of possibilities that cause the FPS to drop. I'll try to list only a few:

Do you have the antivirus software? Maybe some virus is causing the problem, and it would return to the system soon after reinstalling somehow?
Do you have some programs that eat up your RAM (or CPU, or graphics card)?
Try tweaking the settings - maybe your computer just can't handle the game at that resolution/settings?
45-50 is for graphics card or CPU? Either way, list both, please.

FPS has nothing to do with HDD/SSD; the game gets copied to the memory once started, and since then when you play, the game doesn't use hard drive.

(Well, it does - if the entire island would get copied, all 60 GB or how much the game weighs, would copy, and since Win 7 Home Premium won't allow to use more than 16 GB of RAM... Basically, the game copies only those files to RAM it needs at the moment; if it was the case, everybody would annoy about game being slow)

I do have an antivirus and so far I've been scanning and no viruses pick up. This slowing down of FPS has happened multiple times, when I reset my PC and slowly starts to slow down. I'm not sure about the apps eating up RAM, if you could tell me where to look for that kind of stuff I'm open to it. The 45 - 50 was my CPU and my GPU temperature is around 35-40

What does RAM usage look like? Less available RAM will lead to more page faults, in which case HDD performance starts to dominate. It's likely other applications start eating into RAM usage the longer you use the PC, reducing application performance.

Remember people: It's a 64-bit world now. The days of an application using no more then 2GB of RAM at a time are long gone.

I have 8GB of RAM. Is there anyway I can prevent the programs from eating into my RAM?

95-100 temp for the CPU sounds way to freaking high...my i5 never goes above 70 celsuis

You must be throttling, no i5 should go above 80 Celsius as that is when the pc would shut down to stop damage. Are you sure you got the right temps??

Regards

That's what RealTemp is saying, any other programs I can use?

Sorry for such late reply.

The CPU temps are incredibly high. That might be the problem - your CPU might be dying. I'd call it number 1 reason of your computer being slow with time
HWMonitor from the creators of CPU-Z; I think the company name is CPUID. I use that program, but don't really think they differ a lot.
Do you have any other programs open besides the game/web browser/anything else? How much RAM does your web browser eat?

Did you overclock your CPU? With stock fan?

About a few weeks ago I took my stock cooler off my CPU and found it was slightly loose on one side. So I took it out and wiped the paste off then reinstalled it also making sure the black pins clicks through the white ones which you can see behind the board if you install it correctly.

I used the Linus Techtips Intel stock cooler installer video on Youtube to help me. now my temps are 30-60. 70 celsuis is when an Intel CPU will throttle.

So in meaning reinstall your CPU cooler.
