Games go to desktop when AFK

When I leave my new custom built gaming pc for a couple of minutes with a game open and comeback sometimes the game will be minimized and ill be on the desktop. its not a pop up its doing it on its own. Also when I watch full screen videos for a while the task bar pops up. I don't know if this is related but also sometimes my webpages or open applications will repeatedly grey out and go back to normal like if you click on something else or the desktop the top bar will go gray.
