hello,
so now i have a problem with my computer. and this happened right after i torrented a version of GTA IV (not sure if it is a virus)
when i run my games, i have smooth framerate and no problems. however during the game (about 1-2mins or longer after starting the game) it'll freeze, then black screen, then it shows my desktop. funny thing is, the cursor is the cursor in the game and not the windows 7 cursor. and i cant click on anything on my desktop.
i have searched on this and some people said that it was due to ram problems. but i am thinking this is due to a virus. i have run AVG scans on it (full computer scans) and removed every threat found but problem still persists. does anyone have an idea on what could be the problem?
thanks for reading.
PS what happened in GTA IV was that my screen would become pixelated, EVEN MY DESKTOP SCREEN AND AFTER I CLOSED IT. so i restarted my computer and deleted it immediately. then the problem came. BSODs have also occured with the stop code 0xA01 but i couldnt find anything on the internet regarding the stop code. Temps do not go above 65 deg C.
