Hi there,

I recently bought the ASUS Nvidia Geforce GTX 950 2gb to replace my old geforce 650 which is around 4 years old. After about 3-15 minutes of gaming (for example GTA V) the game crashes or my pc crashes (blue screen). I would like to know why this is happening.

Specs Medion:

Motherboard: Medion MS-7797
GPU: ASUS Nvidia Geforce GTX 950 2gb
CPU: Intel Core i5-3350p 3,1 GHz
RAM: 2 x 8 Gb DDR3 Crucial
PSU: Joujye 600 W

Thank you in advance.

Likely your power supply. Try doing a BIOS update on the system first though. That power supply needs to be replaced, not a lot of information about it and I am betting it has very low amps on the 12v rail, likely a 400 watt power supply. I'm guessing it has a plain silver case with some cheap generic "Switchable Power Supply" stickers.

This Seasonic is about $40 after rebates and will run the 950 without any issues. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16817151074 This one is a bit more but more power and modular so you can keep a cleaner case https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151093

I forgot to mention that i replaced the PSU back to the stock PSU of 450 W and the games were still crashing. Could be both PSU's being faulty or could it be that my GPU is faulty?

What is the brand and model of the PSU you are using? To find out where the issue is, test the card in another system with a good power supply. If it works there, it's not the card.
