When I am playing a game, battlefield 1 or titanfall 2, it always lags/stutters. About every 30 seconds it does this. I'm not sure what the problem is. I have only had this computer for a couple of months. Any thoughts of what it might be? I know this is a little vague, but hoping someone could steer me in the right direction. Thanks

Many have the problem but there are large number of causes. All you can do with work though each possible fix. Try using black vipers safe desktop to shut down unneeded services. Pick your OS version to see the list of what can be shutdown safely to gain RAM and reduce CPU usage.

Also try uninstalling your video drivers and use DDU to remove all configs. Then get new drivers from link. Dont use an auto update drivers as those are never good.

Check task manager to see if any programs take much cpu every 30 seconds. Also you should check for viruses and malware. If you can do a boot time virus scan as once windows is start viruses can hide from detection. Use malewarebytes to scan for malware. Get it in the link's popular downloads. Also avast is good if you dont have anti virus protection. Also check out ccleaner to clean up your registry.

For BF1 you should first make sure shadow play is off. Then make a config.ini file in the game launchers directory. Add this line in the text file. gametime.maxvariablefps 144

Also try switching directx version. Go to My Documents/ Battlefield 1/ settings/ PROFSAVE_Profile. Open with Notepad & locate GstRender.Dx12Enabled 1 & change it to 0. Then save the changes.
