Games Lag after a few minutes

Hi everyone
I'm have a issue when play newer games like bioshock infinite or rise of the tomb raider it will work fine for about 30 to 45 minutes. But after that it begins to lag out of control. Even the audio shows this lag. I don't think its overheating the GPU it runs at max about 60 to 65C at max. While the CPU max would show maybe 55C. At idle the GPU 42C and the CPU 42C as well. Does any one know what it could be thanks

-16gb ddr4 3000hz

The usual reason for games that slow after a while is some sort of thermal problem.

You say CPU is OK.
Motherboard power delivery (VRM) should be OK on that board.
GPU should be OK


Your PSU was good when new, but it may have had too many hard miles, and the main Capacitors could have lost too much 'goodie'.

I'd be running diagnostic software to find out where the lagging is coming from and what effect changing CPU and GPU settings have on it.

Yeah that could be that. Can it be also be my vram does not go at max in the games?

I doubt it. Are you playing at 1080p, 60Hz?

With games like Battleborn beta and rise of the tomb raider yes I have a AsusVG248QE as my main monitor it will start at 60 fps no problem but go down and lag like crazy to the point its unplayable. I am planning on getting a power supply like you said i'll get the corsair HX750i. Hopefully it will fix the issue.

Do you have a fiend you could borrow a PSU from and test? I have a spare EVGA B2 750 which I loan to my students for checking this sort if thing.

No I don't own any other psu. You dont need to get me your its ok. I can still play other games like war thunder and world of warships. I'll get the new psu before my vacation in june its no big deal.

just close the virtual disk manager in the task bar.
and then the lag will be gone. It worked for me.
