Games lagging after a certain period of time

Hey guys I have tried looking out for my problem under the same name, but nothing seems to help really.

All of my games will run perfectly as they used for like 15-20 mins. And then all of sudden it will start lagging.

I thought it was issue of overheating but no.

My temperatures are fine, like 65-75dC while gaming, sometimes while playing Witcher 3 80-85dC.

I thought it was a issue of HDD, but I have tried HDD Tune softwares and saw it was in good condition.

What else should I try?

My specs are:

i7 4800MQ @3.4GHz
32GB DDR3 RAM
Hitachi 750GB HDD @7200rpm
Nvidia GTX770M

Have you checked you power profile? Wrong profile, heat or power brick/battery overheat are about the only things that throttle like that.

I am running a Balanced Profile. Because if I choose High Performance, Turbo Boost kicks in and the Temps rise to 85 and plus. I am not sure what the problem is.

I mean after playing games for like 20 mins and the FPS drop to 20. But if I restart and play the game, it works fine then again for like 20 mins.

Every game is suffering from this.

Any suggestions?

Also, my battery died some time back. So, I'm running without a battery but I have a UPS to support my misery. Is that the cause?

Try without the UPS and put a fan on the Power Brick. To use my old Sager at it's full potential I had to make a custom cooler with two 140mm fans, that dropped the Temps by 20 Degrees and made it playable at High Performance.

Power Brick is not at all hot. i think I should re-paste the Thermal Compound. Otherwise I will have to Refresh my laptop.

That wouldn't hurt as long as you have the patients to take apart a Laptop. OEM ships with mediocre Thermal paste that dries up after a few years.
