I'm nitpicking here, but as a C&C veteran I have to point out that C&C started out as a purely fictional universe.

They didn't actually make a physical appearance until C&C3, but they were hinted at in the early Tiberian universe games.

Agreed, awesome game. It is set in WW2, so no recent weaponry, but it is very good indeed.
