Hey guys, I have a question. My pc has started to load games (and anything else honestly) really slowly. Whenever I enter a game for example Heroes of the Storm, loading every character, map, spell, skin for the first time takes so long and after it loaded once it's okay as long as I don't restart my PC. My fps is really good, always 60, in all games, never had FPS issues. It's only freezing and rendering things that really makes me rage super hard I start screaming.
- PC specs:
CPU: Intel i5-2400S 6M cache 2.5GHz
RAM:8gb 1333 MHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT 1gb ddr3
HDD: 1 TB SATA
- Solutions I've tried:
1. Reinstalling OS. Issue remained.
2. Reinstalling GPU driver. Issue remained.
3. Removing GPU, using integrated graphics. Issue remained.
4. Removing both modules one by one to see if Memory was bad. Issue remained.
5. Ran memtest. Everything was fine.
6. Downloaded HD sentinel(Can't remember if that's what it's called). It said healthy hard drive no issues.
7. Changing the SATA cable, because old one was bad. Issue remained.
8. Putting High priority mode for the game I was playing in task manager. Issue remained.
So at one point my friend was over, he's much more of a tech guy than me (I can't even call myself a tech guy at all, I barely know shit). I told him I was checking the task manager and the disk usage was 100%, I did some stuff from google to reduce it from 100% and that didn't really help much. Then I noticed that the average response time could reach over 50,000 ms when launching up League of Legends for example. He googled some fix while I was in the bathroom and set some dedicated memory or something, he told me something along the lines of making the PC use RAM more than the HDD. (My ram usage is 2 gb to 3gb barely, CPU usage 1% mostly) So the average response time definitely lowered but I still have the high loading times and slow rendering.
I would like to add that when my brother gifted me this pc it worked really well. I played rome total war 2 and it worked fine and at one point it started working so slow, loading 500 times slower(not exaggerating). Then I installed Cities & Skylines, loading times for a map were longer than 2 hours! Holy shit. So, it worked fine for a while and at one point every game started working slow.
Any help, solutions? ALL TIPS AND HELP ARE APPRECIATED!͡ ° ͜ʖ ͡°)
