games not installing

hey guys...i have a prob on my pc...when i try to install any game an error code always occurs its either error code-7 or error code-12 , and also my browser is crashing frequently (chrome & mozila both) the installing prob occurs after changing my hdd
my pc config is :
2x4GB ram, amd fx-4100 quadcore,msi 7770 hd 1gb ddr5, mecrucy 500 watt smps, gigabyte 78LMT-usb3 motherboard, hdd of wd 1TB,
please i need help 🙁

That is really unpleasant. 🙁

I would advise you to start with backing up the important data stored on the drive.
After that, you can see if the drive is in a healthy state. You can do so, if you run both short and extended DLG tests on it: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=h32Klc

i ran both short and extended dlg tests on the hdd and both passed but still the prob is occuring 🙁

Another thing you can try is to attach the HDD with different cables to another SATA port. Also, you can test it with some third party tools as well: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/282651-32-best-diagnostic-testing-utility

Do you see any abnormally high component usage in Resource Monitor?
Is this a clean OS installation?
