games on windows 8 running dlow?

I think I have already posted this but I think I posted it somewhere else. But long story short I use to have windows 7 and all my games ran perfectly fine and ever since I did a clean install of 8.1 all my games run slowly , I've upgraded all my drivers too. I don't know what the problem is.

Can You please post Your specs? [motherboard manufacturer/model, graphics card the same, ram - amount, model, processor, etc.].

And one more thing, to me, Windows 8.1 brought nothing but trouble. Issues with X-Fi installation, sometimes I boot up and icons are a mess, sometimes he turns off the main display and reverts it to secondary, or tertiary, sometimes the mouse doesn't work, sometimes the power profiles are a mess. Games are good so far, just saying, Windows 8.1 is a disaster.

I take it we are talking about the same system here that you just upgraded the OS on? If so, power options may be set wrongly. Go into control panel, find power management and check the profile CPU settings and GPU settings.

I've had an ACER device once that had it's own ACER software on it still, that kept resetting the CPU to max 50%. That killed it's performance quite harshly. Am I happy that stuff is gone.
