My computer keeps crashing shortly after playing games. It goes into a red/white checkerboard all across the screen which supposedly is an indicator for overheating the GPU, but its crashing around 40 degrees Celsius. Here's a picture:

The number closest to the symbol for a cabled internet connection is for the GPU and the other four are the temperatures of the CPUs which I used MSI afterburner to track.
Under device manager there recently has been a few things saying there are no drivers and when searching it says none can be found, however this has happened after the crashing started so not sure if related. Also, I still hear sound and can talk with friends over discord before the computer reboots itself.
Computer Specs
i3-8100
Asus nvidia geforce gtx 1060 6gb
Seasonic G-series 550w power supply
Gigabyte B360M DS3H motherboard
All parts are brand new, built the PC a little over a week ago.

If you need any more info, just ask and I'll respond as quickly as I see it! Thanks!

Download and install GPUZ and start that utility before starting any game so that it starts logging temp. It doesn't matter if your system is crashing or hanging but you will get your temp values and if your GPU is running hot and hanging then its clear indication to change your cooler or to get good cooling solutions.

I did this with MSI afterburner. I put the temperature monitor for the GPU in my task bar and when the error occured i could still see the temp for the GPU and it was only around 40
