Hi Everyone
I built a new PC a few weeks ago, the basic specs are in my signature.
Sometimes I can game for several hours without any issues.
Occasionally games are crashing, sometimes this can be several times in a day (freezing, and then the application will close on its own).
Or what has happened twice now is just a full system reboot just randomly mid game.
All in all I've only had about 10-12 times this has happened, but its enough for me to be concerned.
I am not experiencing these crashes at all when doing office work on the PC (for 8 hours a day).
I'm playing CK3 (less demanding) and Apex (more demanding) about 50/50 and I would say 90% of the crashes have been when playing Apex.
The only things I have done in the BIOS is setup XMP and set the min & max power limits to a flat 150w.
Have the latest BIOS.
GPU Drivers are all up to date.
Been monitoring all the usual stuff during gaming with MSI Afterburner.
GPU is around 50-70c, with GPU memory around 65-85c. Power draw is at healthy 200-250w. Utilization at 100%
CPU is around 40-60c. Power draw is almost always sub 100w. Utilization around 35-55%
Everything is under warranty, so no problem getting parts replaced.
But then problem is I don't what is causing the issue
I'm hoping maybe its just a 7800XT driver issue with it being a new release.
How can I narrow down what the problem is?
