Hello,

I've been having this new issue where games crash to desktop randomly with no error messages.

I tried viewing windows event logs and there's nothing in there either near the time of the crash.

I recently upgraded my RAM to 2x16GB HyperX Fury 3466Hz only to find out my GPU is having overheating issues (RIP 2070Super), so i upgraded to 3070Ti.

Windows was installed 2 weeks ago and all the games redownloaded.

Temperatures seem to be fine.

CPU: i7-6700 + Riing Silent 12 Pro cooler
Motherboard: Asus Maximus Hero VIII
BIOS Ver.: American Megatrends Inc. 3802 (latest)
Ram: 2x16GB HyperX Fury 3466Hz RGB
SSD/HDD: 2x SSD 4xHDDs
GPU: Inno3D 3070Ti X3
PSU: Thermaltake Tough Power 750W Gold 80+
Chassis: NZXT Phantom 410
OS: MS Windows 10 Pro

What should i be looking for here?

what games exactly? where are they from?

Steam games my dude. I tried RDR2 and Rust. It may take more than 30 minutes but eventually it will crash in an instant.

Just crashed out of Rust and looked at event logs.

I'm also wondering maybe my new GPU is defected. It doesnt have hotspot and memory sensors so i dunno if the temperatures are fine there or if it's overheating and crashing as a defense measure.

Update: ran memtest86 and got some errors. Then I underclocked the ram to 2160 (I forgot exact number) and ran the test again but norm for too long due to power issues where I live. I had no errors in 30 mins. Will have to run another test again tmrw.

Update 2: my CPU can’t run this speed. Underclocking to around 2k should solve the problem.

Update 3: this was it..
