Games run but never start

So recently, I've been trying to play MGSV:TPP via steam family share on steam, and the game refuses to open, it just says running and crashes; I get no error message. I've tried everything from verifying integrity of the game to reinstalling the necessary drivers. The game shows up in task manager briefly as well. I'm lost and I really want to play this game, pleas help. I've had a similar issue with Evolve as well, but the game at least showed up in my task bar for a couple of seconds.

OS: Windows 7
CPU: AMD 8320 3.5ghz
GPU: MSI GTX 760 2gb
RAM: 8gb DDR3 1600mhz
HDD: 1tb Segate hybrid
PSU: Thermal take Smart Series 650w
