Hi everyone,
A while back I experienced an issue with my computer where after replacing most of the components in it, the screen would go black and the computer would switch off and restart once I opened some games or software (no pattern with what games or software could be small games or big games) and sometimes I would have no issue and the same games that crashed it earlier would run fine for hours. I took the computer to a computer repair shop as I had ran out of ideas as to what the issue could be and turns out I had a dodgy motherboard (I think that is what the issue was but this was a year and a half ago now) (I already knew it was dodgy but it had been dodgy for years on the previous rig but now it was a problem) so the motherboard was replaced and while I was at it I installed an SSD and new ram (16 gig). The computer worked fine for a while then started having issues again. After taking it to the shop multiple times in the last year having things replaced with different issues one of which being computer freezing up and being unresponsive and the audio buzzing when it did this, the only fix was restarting it, in the end the new SSD was replaced and it fixed this for a while. I have now ran into another issue and I can't work out what might be broken, the issue is similar to my previous issues where when I open a game sometimes it may just crash out of no where there is no rhyme or reason for this other than it does not happen with things that arnt games although the only software I run other than games is: steam, spotify, discord, voicemod, firefox and a few things in the background. Sometimes I might open Microsoft flight simulator 2020 on high settings and have no issue for a few hours only to have it crash when I open city skylines. I have noticed that having spotify open makes the chance of a crash more likely. I have used windows memory diagnostic and had no issue, I have used prime95 and stressed my cpu and had no issue, I am pretty sure that the computer shop may have done a complete driver re-install but I cannot confim that, I am even pretty sure that I even stressed my graphics once in the past. So now I am at a loss as to what to do. So today I opened Microsoft flight sim 2020 and opened spotify made sure I could do as many things that might crash it and opened msi afterburner below are the results (had to do multiple screenshots to get all the data). I find it weird that in the last image the "commit charge" is at max usage up until the point the game crashes, I don't know what commit charge is so I don't know if that could be the culprit.
