Games start in a small box

I recently installed my graphics card (and power supply) in my desktop and now, when ever I launch a game, it starts in the center of the screen with a large black border. I am now using a VGA to HDMI adapter to plug my monitor into the graphics card. Graphics card is an Nvidia GTX 1060.

Never mind I found the issue, it wants to launch in a different screen resolution.
