Hello! I started noticing that my games are running slow, and also stuttering. My temperatures are horrible. My CPU while in-games are running around 90-100 Celsius. Could that be the reason why my games and my windows is running slow while I am alt-tabbed? I recently installed a GTX 1060 6gb, and never noticed my CPU running that high in temperature before I installed it. My previous GPU was a GTX 660 SC.

Specs:
CPU: i5 4670
GPU: GTX 1060 6gb
RAM: 8gb
PSU: 1050W
Hard Drive: 1TB
OS: Windows 10

Solution
your cooler might be the problem or maybe it's time to reapply the thermal paste
when u alt tab, the program behind will not be considered a priority, therefore the performance will be dropped in order to prioritize the app u're opening currently
also, u reinstall the driver when u change ur GPU right?

I did uninstall the GTX 660 Drivers, I used Display Driver Uninstaller.

Yeah your killing the CPU literally MELTING IT. Your also producing MUCH MORE HEAD than the old Card.
You need to look at your cable management and tie things away, look at using a AFTER MARKET (not stock) CPU FAN AND Add some case fans. Also make sure there is BREATHING ROOM.

To help if you put your FACE where your putting the back/side panel that has the fans THAT close to whatever it is, would you be able to breath correctly like that? If not neither can the computer, give it breathing room.

Gotcha, that is what I was worrying about. This is how I have it all set up if this helps at all. http://imgur.com/a/BkwiJ
