Games tabbing in and out, freezing and crashes.

Hello,

I have recently upgraded my pc.
Ryzen 2700X
MSI x470 Gaming Plus MB
2x8 Corsair Vengeance LPX 2400mhz

I also have installed my old videocard,
GTX 1050 ti 4gb

And an old HDD.

Just installed Windows 10 and updated drivers for videocard, installed CS:GO and Fortnite.

Fortnite crashes, csgo however is running but keeps freezing and keeps tabbing in and out every 10 seconds.

I have no clue what the reason behind this freezing and tabbing in and out is and I was wondering if anyone knows a solution to this problem...

Greetings,
scar

I think this message occured when I tried running csgo.

The second message:

I was trying to stress my CPU and GPU at the same time and the program crashed.

I hope this helps a bit.

Unfortunately I cannot read/understand the messages enough to be helpful.

I do see powerMax appearing in both the second and third sections.

Is the following the correct link:

https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/powermax.html

Stress just the CPU or the GPU by itself. Then both.

Test carefully and methodically. Look for some threshold where problems begin.

Even though your PSU is new, it may still have some issue or fault where it cannot support peak or near peak loads.

Be sure to use an online calculator to add up the component power requirements. Then add 40%.

How close is the total load to 650 watts?

I used this site to calculate W: https://outervision.com/b/Xu6231 <-- my results.
359 x 1,4 = 500 W, well then my 650 PSU should be enough.

CURRENTLY TESTING WITH powerMAX

Next step, download and reinstall GPU drivers via manufacturer's website.

Just to ensure that the existing driver's were not buggy or corrupted.

Especially as it is likely that Windows 10 has likely done some updates on its own and some problem was created.

Alright will do!

When I was testing the CPU and GPU, it instantly crashed. If I test one of the parts on their own its fine.

Use Task Manager or Resource Monitor to observe your system's performance while doing the same testing.

Just one of them at a time.

Be sure to let the system stabilize first before running each text via poweMax.

Look for some bottleneck or other issue that occurs when both CPU and GPU are tested simultaneously versus individually.
