Games Will Not Save. (Steam + Others)

I have tried multiple fixes for this issue but none have worked (Changing files to/from read-only, Giving permissions etc.)

When I save a game, it doesnt work, yet I can use old saves. For example, In Skyrim I can load a save I have from about 5 minutes into the game but can not create new saves. I am 100% sure that i have permissions in the My Games folder and all of the subfolders inside.

I have tried for multiple hours to fix this but none of the fixes are working. Two of the main games that I play and wont save are GTA: San Andreas (Steam Version) and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (Non Steam Version)

Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance!

all folders in win 10 are read only but that shouldn't effect you as you should have right permissions to change things in them. NO point trying to change that as even though it says it lets you, as soon as you close folder and open it again it will be reset to read only. I fought this for a few weeks before i worked out my solution.

the files within the folders shouldn't be read only, just the folders themselves.

Have you set up a homegroup? it may seem a strange thing to do but it fixed my permissions problem last year when i couldn't save to any of my folders in libraries (like where your save game folders would be located)
