So this means the new Lara 'look' will be more in line with the
superskinnybitch version that Top Cow does? Perhaps a more cartoony
look for the graphics and modelling overall?

So possibly no PC version. We might yet count this as a blessing... ;)

Surely not? Sure, I no longer can handle PC games of any type, which is sad,
but...to me TR has always been about the PC, even though Eidos always said
that the TRs were designed for the PS/ PS2. Hmmm....no, I can't imagine
they'd be that willing to cut out their customer base.
As it is, I highly doubt there will be an Xbox port, so that only leaves PS2
and PC...

But then Thief3 (and Eidos prod) was released on the Xbox....

Well we have a semi-firm-but-somewhat-expansive-breadth date now of
'mid-2005', where before all we knew of was 'sometime in 2005'. And we
know Top Cow have a hand in the design (hence my 'skinnybitch-Lara'
comment).

The details, they're just ah burying us in 'em...

Movies, novel, comix....all sadly seem to be corporately tied together
now... : /

Screenies... Wouldn't you think from that often quoted interview from March
that they'd at least let us have a look?

(here is snippet from the oft quoted interview)

---
"We're still doing a lot of market research, in terms of direction of the
content and the character, but the fundamental technology is already
complete and the character is up and running in the environment with new
moves and new control systems."

Well if you want the "market research" then let us have a peek! :)

*sigh*

and here we go down the 'let's bitch and moan path again'.

This is why it's actually been good that we haven't had any news. No
expectations means nothing to lose or to be disappointed with.

As soon as they start showing screenshots, we're all going to be 'so when is
it released? when?' then they'll say something, we'll accept it like gospel
(there's no way on this sweet, greeny-blue bountiful planet that tr7 will be
released anywhere near the entire year of 2005), and act all pissed-off when
it isn't released then or to our standards.

No, I say, no. I want them not to tell us anything about it, not to hype it
up. That was one of AOD's tripwires of doom...they tried to make it
tantalising. It backfired pitifully when they didn't deliver on those
promises.

Oh if only they'll allow us to play through it first before even releasing
the demo.

Isn't it too early? We're still recovering from the miss-hit of TRAOD.
Dumping us with another partially-done poject will make the whole experience
a torture.

Yes, those annoying damned demos!

It's costs a lot of money to produce a game nowadays and so plonk down yer
forty bucks and play it sight unseen!

Demos indeed! :)

But bitching and moaning is *fun*! ;-D

Besides...gossiping about TR7 gives us something to do here...

You're right of course. That's just how it was with AOD wasn't it?

When are they going to release it! They've pushed it back! Wah! We want
our AoD!

And then when it *was* released prematurely.

Woah!

JOWIE!

This place was lit up like a christmas tree! Flames Unlimited!

So hopefully TR7 will be like CoC- DCotE. They've been talking about that
one for a long time, but I'll bet that Bethsesda isn't going to release it
until it's been thoroughly play tested and tweaked!

At least I hope so...

Very good guesses and actually quite close on one of them.

"Call of Cthulu Dark Corners of the Earth"

<snigger>

"Dark corners of the Earthworm " reminds me of that old Kevin Bacon movie--
"Tremors" I think it was called.

Anyway, we'd better be careful about the anbacronyms. Whizkid would type a
dozen for us.

(pinging the Emerald Isle of Erin...)

:)
