Hi, I had a question in mind. I read earlier today that 1080p displays above 24 inches are not good for gaming and that they reduce the picture quality due to the low no. of pixels so a display above 24 inches is recomended to be 2k for gaming. So my question is what if i buy a 30 inches 2k display and still game in 1080p resolution. Will that result in the same quality as with a 1080p display above 24 inches (bad) or will that be just as gaming on a 1080p display below 24 inches(Good) or.......will that kind of improve the quality due to the greater pixel density?

My specs
Core i7-4770k
Asus Gtx 1070 of dual
16 gb ddr3 ram
Thermaltake 550w
Gigabyte B85M-D3PH mobo

1080p (Full HD) at 24" is 92dpi (dots per inch). 32" screens at 1440p (also known as Quad HD or QHD) also have 92dpi, so should bring the same picture quality. So if you'll want to get higher picture quality, go for 1440p anywhere between 24 and 32 inches. I wouldn't recommend going to a 4K resolution with your current setup. It'll be fine for browsing or some light gaming, but a 1070 won't let you run AAA titles at high settings.

I'm afraid not. You should always try to run your displays at native resolutions. Otherwise you force the display to attempt to map pixels that might be out of place and it really hurts quality, in most cases worse than poor DPI. However, there shouldn't be a reason that a 4770K and GTX 1070 wouldn't be able to push a 1440p display at native resolution. You might have to lower settings a little bit, but it should be a good experience.

that means i shouldn't game in 1080p on a 2k monitor because the extra pixels will go nuts displaying each others information?

That is one way to put it. If you want to see what it would do, set your 1080p monitor to display at the 1600x900 resolution, or for a greater exaggeration 720p. Then try to game like that. It will try to use processing to fill in gaps and such, and everything will just blur.
