Greetings to all,
1. Does anyone know of a (very) colour accurate (100% sRGB, ~76+% Adobe RGB/ ~76+% NTSC) 1440p or 4K, 120+ Hz TN display or overclockable (non-Korean) 60+Hz (AH)IPS display for gaming and moderate video editing. The price should not exceed $500.
2. If i do opt for a 4K display, would i experience (roughly) the same frames-per-second performance from my gpu when scaling the resolution to 1440p relative to playing on a native 1440p display? Or would the performance be hit regardless due to the native 3840x2160 pixel density of the 4K display?

My current build: i7 2600K (4.5 GHz OC), 16Gb rip jaws RAM, 980ti Gigabyte G1.
I wholeheartedly would appreciate any input as I've been making very little progress considering my poor detective skills. Thank you in advance

There are no 4K panels that support anything over 60Hz due to DisplayPort 1.2 bandwidth limitations.

High refresh rate monitors are not built for professionals. The only 1440p 144Hz monitor in your price range is the Acer XG270HU 27".

In Toms review of the the panel, it was able to render 100% of sRGB, but only ~69% of Adobe RGB. It is a TN panel, color and viewing angle performance will not be great.

I would avoid all 28" 4K TN panels, the Innolux TN panel in those displays are very poor. 27" IPS 4K panels are out of your price range, I believe. A 24" 4K panel can be had in your budget, but not worth it IMO.

Displaying scaled content on a 4K screen is a bit of a toss up. Some panels are better than others when it comes to displaying interpolated text and upscaled media. It is a safe bet that 1440p on a native 4K display will not look as good. No if you render the game @ 2560x1440, your GPU renders at that resolution. Not 4K.

Wonderfully informative, thank you dear sir. These TN panels have terrific specs btw. Suppose i opted for one of them i'll be left with the burning question of colour fidelity of TN vs. IPS/PLS displays. The question being, is the poorer color accuracy of TN displays indefinite, as in regardless of the colour/ gamma shift when changing viewing angles. Or is there no notable difference in picture quality between TN and IPS WHEN viewed from the dead center of the screen?:??:
