I was planning to get an i7 4790k with a red color schemed motherboard such as the Asus Maximus VII Hero, but it was sold out on Newegg. Should I wait for it to restock or get the MSI Gaming 5? I plan to overclock and I will have an 850 Pro SSD.

And if there are any other red mobos that will be good, please tell me them, thanks.

1) Maybe a different store?

2) My 2nd choice:

*Note the HERO and a couple other Asus boards have a superior audio solution which includes real-time 3D to 2D emulation which works through the front case output for STEREO headphones. It does work, in fact IMO far better than "3D" headphones with multiple speakers.

(The problem with "3D" headphones with multiple speakers is that it's nearly impossible to place so that it turns into 3D for most people whereas we have two ears so if the data is properly encoded the brain can decode it easier. It's a bit complicated but basically I've tried many 3D headphones and never felt much if any difference but have tried software on my regular PC without hardware emulation such as the "barbershop" sound file to simulate how it works.)

You forgot something, due to the superior audio solution The Hero and other ROG boards posses; they also have an awesome feature called Sonic Radar which basically uses the processed sound to turn it into radar signals. So the Sonic Radar will produce a radar which points to the direction where the sound is coming from. The best part? You can customise it and configure Sonic Radar to only detect gun sounds, bomb sounds, footsteps etc.

This is one of the reasons why I ABSOLUTELY love the Maximus VII Hero, worth every buck I spent on this board.I swear my K/D rate went up dramatically in Planetside 2 and ArmA 3 when I used Sonic Radar.
