Hello!!

So firstly....i'm sure that this has been asked before...but with a 2 year old running around I really don’t have the time to browse through all of the older posts to find the answers!!
So the second little one is on the way, and on those long sleepless nights i've decided a new gaming laptop is maybe, just maybe what will get me through it.

Ive seen the below laptop for sale and wondered how you would rate this for gaming? Would it run the newest games on high settings? Would it manage VR games well?

Endless appreciation for your feedback, the kind of value you would place on it and and other suggestions this side of 1k£ you may have!

Thanks!

VR headsets can be hooked up to anything with the required ports and performance level for the title. Laptops are actually preferable as some people go untethered.

i7-7700HQ
8GB DDR4
GTX 1060 3GB
1TB SSHD

Fairly standard gaming laptop. GTX1060 3GB is the very start of the high end GPUs. Usually used as a minimum recommendation for VR in general.

If you are doing simple VR(Google Earth VR, VR videos, etc..) then that laptop is fine. If you want to do some VR gaming(Fallout 4 VR, etc..) then you should look for a system with at least 16GB of memory and preferably a 1060 6GB or 1070.
