Gaming at 720p Full screen

It's possibly because your screen supports higher resolution. The native resolution will be the resolution that "fills" your screen.

I have the Amd A10 5800k APU. my monitor native resolution is 1440*900p.
i tried putting far cary 3 at 720p but it has letter box on the top and bottom of the screen. This doesn't happened with Battle Field 3

Have you tried setting the resolution of Far Cry 3 to 1440 x 900?

thats what i play on but i want get more fps by gaming at lower resolution
