Gaming at a non native resolution

Will this monitor https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/MONPHS3375788/Philips-BDM4037UW75-Business-Curved-Monitor-UHD-4K be any good for 1080p to maybe 1440p gaming and for 4k media like movies and streaming online.
I have a gtx 1070 and a i7 6700 with a sumsung eve 850 500gb and 250gb.

There is no problem with this. Lower resolutions are supported without drawbacks. Gtx 1070 and i7 does 2k gaming at 60 hz without problem
