gaming build done will it work for a few years? Also what is needed for 4k gaming in future?

Ok i think that link should work this is my final build and it is up and running 100% ran 30 minutes on furmark everything was great, then ran 24 hours on prime95 all rock solid.

I feel like there are a few things i can still upgrade such as the ram for one (used out of my old build) and am looking to see if this build will last me a while for gaming?

Also id like to know what steps i will need to take in the future to achieve 4k gaming.

What monitor and what hardware upgrades would be needed to achieve that in the future.

YEs, it works now. Looks like a great build.

Upgrading RAM will not really do anything at all for game performance.

For 4k gaming, you will need a second 280x minimum for medium or better settings.

Ok i wasnt sure since its slower ram, didnt know if a bump up would do anything or not.

Would 2x280x be enough for a good experience for 4k gaming or would you recommend another set up? This is for the future so if i need 2 new gpus thats fine if the rest looks ok!

Also any recomendations for monitor or monitors? I currently just have a 1080p led monitor

I would just keep your 1080p monitor and start saving for 4k upgrades. A second 280x should give a decent 4k experience, but just the monitor alone will cost $700+ for a cheaper one.

You will need a new PSU when you add a second 280x.

Ok so new psu and a second 280x plus monitor. Obviously not looking for prices right now just an idea of what components would need to be added or replaced

What wattage would you recommend for a twin 280x or even a twin 290/290x in future(prices likely will go down by then)

Good to know the rest looks ok, tried to future proof as much as i could

A good 850w for dual 290x. E.g. XFX 850w

750w should be plenty for 280x CF or 850w for 290/290x CF.

YEs, your other components are great. Case is a bit on the cheap side, but that is all personal preference.

Yeah case was also left over from previous build, some day ill get a nicer one!
