So I know I tossed on another build here recently but I was way over thinking this. I have been looking at this new build probably more for what I would use it for. I plan on mainly using it for gaming other then that then blu ray movies. Now basically it is a great build but I have a lot of questions. Alright so I will post the build then the questions.

◾CPU - Intel Core i7-4770K Quad-Core Desktop Processor 3.5 GHZ 8 MB Cache BX80646I74770K
◾Motherboard - ASUS Z87 PRO LGA 1150
◾CPU Fan - Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120mm PWM Fan (RR-212E-20PK-R2)
◾Video Card - EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Ti, 3GB, 3072MB,GDDR5 384bit, Dual-Link DVI-I, DVI-D, HDMI,DP, SLI Ready Graphics Card (03G-P4-2881-KR) Graphics Cards 03G-P4-2881-KR
◾RAM -G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory F3-12800CL10D-16GBXL
◾SSD - Intel 335 Series 2.5-Inch 240GB SATA3 Solid State Drive SSDSC2CT240A4K5
◾HDD - Seagate Barracuda 1 TB HDD SATA 6 Gb/s NCQ 64MB Cache 3.5-Inch Internal Bare Drive
◾Case - CM Storm Stryker - Gaming Full Tower Computer Case with Carrying Handle and External 2.5-Inch Drive Dock, White
◾Power Supply -Seasonic 850W 80 Plus Gold ATX12V/EPS12V Power Supply - X-850 SS-850KM
◾Optical Drive - LG Electronics 14x Internal BDXL Blu-Ray Burner Rewriter WH14NS40 - Bulk Drive - Black

Alright so let's start off. Now the MOBO. What would the purpose be for me to get a Gigabyte G1.Sniper 5 or Rampage IV Extreme for be? GPU I plan on upgrading later on in the future to have 2x 780ti working in SLI FYI. Other then that I pretty much think it is a solid build for gaming. Now my concern is how much trouble would I run into if I wanted to move up to 1440? I plan on using this to max out games such as Metro LL, BF4 and so on. Let me know what you think and how this could better suit me. O/S and Monitor are already going to be taken care of.

Solution
Those high end motherboards are for people doing high overclocks. Unless you plan on a 4.4Ghz+ OC, then sticking with something like you have listed, or the Gigabyte UD3H is a fine choice.

I would upgrade to DDR3-2133 RAM. It is the sweet spot in terms of performance for Haswell CPUs, and it's the same price as DDR3-1600. There isn't a huge performance increase for games, but other things you do will benefit.

The 780Ti is a great choice for 1440P. I don't think you would really need a second one, but your PSU can handle two so you have the option.

Awesome so basically switching the RAM will do the trick then. Do you believe the RAM would fit with the heatsink and the CPU Fan?

Alright I will check those out and see how it goes. Thanks for the help.
