So i am currently building my first self build gaming pc.

I am very new to this and really hope to continue learning more about it all so i apologize for my ignorance ahead of time.

The parts i plan on are as follows:

NZXT Phantom Crafted Series Black/Green ATX Full Tower - (purchased)
GIGABYTE GA-Z87X-UD5H LGA 1150 Intel Z87 Motherboard
MSI Gaming N760 TF 2GD5/OC GeForce GTX 760 2GB 256-Bit GPU
WD BLACK SERIES 1TB Internal Hard Drive
Intel Core i7-4771 Haswell 3.5GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) LGA 1150 CPU
SAMSUNG 840 EVO MZ-7TE120BW 2.5" 120GB SSD
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) RAM
Silencer Mk II 950W High Performance Power Supply - (this was left over from my step dads build so i already got this ready to go)

Im having a dilemma on the cooler cause i originally wanted the Phanteks PH-TC14PE_BK 140mm UFB but i hear its very large and sometimes you have issues with fitting other parts around it so i was thinking about just going with the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo. Would the Phanteks fit in my case and work well with everything else.

Also i plan to eventually over clock and crossfire down the road but for right now I'm just looking to build a nice gaming rig that'll last a few years until i decide to upgrade.

Does the build work well and seem to be a good gaming build?

Any help is appreciated!

The i7-4771 is a locked cpu, meaning that it cannot be overclocked. If you plan to overclock you need to get a k cpu (i7-4770k). Also, the i7 does not show an increase in gaming performance compared to the i5s. You could save $100 off the i7 and get a gtx 770 with that money. Other than that, it looks good.

Edit: Also, you are spending quite a bit on the mobo, you could probably use a less expensive one but I understand wanted a good quality product :)

So do you think that the Intel Core i5-4670K Haswell is a better fit for the build I'm going for?

Also Stil unsure about the cooling fans, which is a better fit Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo or the Phanteks PH-TC14PE_BK UFB???

And I'm guessing the gtx770 would just be an upgrade from the graphics card I've chosen so far correct?
I plan to Dual Screen idk if thats a factor

Yeah, the i5-4670k was what I was thinking of. For the cooling, the CM 212 evo is good for a bit of overclocking, if plan to push your OC a bit, you would want a better cooler. If you want a better cooler then the Noctua NH-D14 is a good one (I am not a master at coolers, so I am not sure about the Phanteks you asked about).

The gtx 770 is a step up from the gtx 760. The 760 will let you play many games at ultra, some at high. The gtx 770 would let you play almost all at ultra, a few at high (these are all at 60+ fps 1080p, only the most gpu intensive games would need to be played at high).

For your dual screen, I am assuming that you would be browsing on one, gaming on the other (since I don't believe Nvidia supports gaming on 2 screens, need at least 3 to game across). If you are just gaming on one then either the gtx 760 or 770 could handle that since I do it on my gtx 760.

Not sure about that, it probably depends on what games and how intensive they are for running both at the same time. If you can afford the extra, the gtx 770 is worth it, if not then the gtx 760 is a great card.
