Dont need thermal compound as the Hyper212 already comes with some that is really good

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157280
From what I have heard that is a really good motherboard and a lot cheaper then the one you chose

Personally I would go with a AMD GPU but thats just what I like and with the money you would save with that motherboard you could get something like the Radeon 7870 or maybe a 7950

You could save 15$ on a case by getting the Coolermaster Hyper 212 or something alone those lines

I would avoid windows 8 if I were you. Windows 7 is a much better and easier to use OS

All these parts on newegg. Im on my phone so hard to link them.

Evga gtx 670 ~$390
Fx 6300 ~$140
Msi 970a-g46 motherboard ~$80
G skill rupjaws 8gb $60
Corsair enthusiast tx650 $90

This puts you at right about $800. Give or take a bit depending on pcpartpicker prices. Then add a case hdd and disc drive and youre golden, pony boy. Upgrade to a gtx 670 for relatively same price.

You did it great, but i don't see the power supply on the parts lists, also i added an SSD to get super fast experience without breaking the budget.
