Gaming build, looking for mistakes

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: WoW gamer, Online auto racing, general web use

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: Already have Samsung 245BW, keyboard, mouse, etc.
PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: new to this so probably Newegg

PARTS PREFERENCES: I'm open

OVERCLOCKING: No SLI OR CROSSFIRE: Maybe

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1920 x 1200
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: quiet is good, otherwise I'm looking for a machine with some built in future and stable trouble-free operation

The primary goal of this post is to find errors in the build, I'm not concerned about a few dollars one way or another. I believe the current build comes in between $1100 and $1200 w/OS.

Very nice build. No mistakes that I can spot, but I'd change a couple of things:

Download the Windows 7 RC instead of buying Vista (saves you money now, and in the future when you probably would have upgraded to 7 anyway).

Get an Antec Three Hundred instead of the Rosewill case (this is probably preference).

Never heard of the case before, why not go for an Antec Nine-Hundred Two.

The M4A79 isn't all that good as a board, may as well go with a Crosshair II for the bang-for-buck performance.

The Crosshair II is NVidia territory, get a 275 or two in SLI with each other.

Up that PSU to a Corsair 800HX for future workability.

Go with the Phenom 955 X4 3.2 GHz BE. It's AM3 so flash the Crosshair II to the latest BIOS.

Switch from G Skill to Corsair Dominator DDR2 PC-8500

Samsung Spinpoint F1's give far better performance per dollar/pound than the Caviars.

Do whatever you want with the DVD drive.

Go with Vista Ultimate 64, you may as well...

If you're into overclocking but dont want the hassle of manual watercooling loop setups, go for the North Q Siberian Tiger cooler, if you fancy an air cooler thats a little easier to install go for the Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 PRO V2.

The build looks good once you ditch the Rosewill case. I'd also ditch the IDE DVD burner for a SATA model. I don't know why they even sell IDE drives any more.

put a sata dvdrw
you can only use 2x 4850x2s so i dont see a need for 4 pci-e x16
pcie 2.0 x8 = x16 no bottleneck
antec 300 has a top fan which i would suggest for any gaming rig
dont know if you plan to change the multiplier on that 940 but maby you should buy
945/955 so you could just switch out cpu if you move ddr3 board one day
that cpu cooler can only be oriented to blow air up or down not out the back
i would recommend Sunbeam CR-CCTF

according to the reviews I've seen on the 4850X2, there are driver issues. It a powerful card, but I'm not sure you'll be
able to get your money's worth outta it. The reviews I've seen for it are 2 or 3 eggs outta 5. NOT a good sign..

I recommend looking at a 4870 x2, if price is no object. Pricewise, I would actually consider going with 2 hd4850's for about 200 after rebate. Although for WOW, one hd4850 is more than ebough.
