I have bugdet for both but is it worth to invest in 10700k or save it for high end graphics card for games along with 3700x and b550 top tier mobo even cost less now.
Its just with 10700k its lots of investment around 40% more than 3700x for less then 8 to 10% improvment in frames , as 10700k will require cooler new,z490 mobo.
I know only ghz matter in games then excution time of blue chip is better but it is only giving 20 to 30 frame(rare) high than 3700x in 1440p .
I have high refersh rate(144hz/165 gsync) acer predator 2k moniter and want to build for game like cyberpunk or if crysis will be there/
Note: I will not overclock or fiddle with cpu speed/mobo config at all.
: GPU I will purchase later with this build i will go rtx 3070 for sure when it releases.
: this build will be to get 144hz with high or ultra setting on 1440p gsync moniter .
My current build is
Processer : Intel i5 4670
Mobo: MSI z97 pc mate
Ram: 16 gb ram ddr3 2400 mhz oc
Harddisk: WD4tb hdd
SSD ; SAMSUNG 850 500gb ssd
GPU : GTX 1070
