I have bugdet for both but is it worth to invest in 10700k or save it for high end graphics card for games along with 3700x and b550 top tier mobo even cost less now.

Its just with 10700k its lots of investment around 40% more than 3700x for less then 8 to 10% improvment in frames , as 10700k will require cooler new,z490 mobo.

I know only ghz matter in games then excution time of blue chip is better but it is only giving 20 to 30 frame(rare) high than 3700x in 1440p .

I have high refersh rate(144hz/165 gsync) acer predator 2k moniter and want to build for game like cyberpunk or if crysis will be there/

Note: I will not overclock or fiddle with cpu speed/mobo config at all.
: GPU I will purchase later with this build i will go rtx 3070 for sure when it releases.
: this build will be to get 144hz with high or ultra setting on 1440p gsync moniter .

My current build is

Processer : Intel i5 4670
Mobo: MSI z97 pc mate
Ram: 16 gb ram ddr3 2400 mhz oc
Harddisk: WD4tb hdd
SSD ; SAMSUNG 850 500gb ssd
GPU : GTX 1070

Games i play
OVERWATCH
METRO
CRYSIS
DMC
DOOM ITERNAL, MK11,GEARS 5
and more

At 1440p you will be gpu limited most of the time, not cpu. Most of the time both CPU’s would perform about the same. I’m running 1440p 144Hz with a 2080 Super and it’s not overpowered. In high end games I have to run a mixture of medium/high settings to average 120fps. If a 10700k means going for a lower tier gpu then get the 3700x and better gpu. What gpu are you looking at?

Edit 20-30fps? Unless esports titles what benchmarks, please link? 20-30 is a bigger difference than most benchmarks for 1080p, at 1440p the difference between CPU’s is usually negligible.

I will be getting gpu later maybe when RTX 3070 releases.

I think it is better to wait for the game to release before building a system to play it.
Not building for particular game only but for upgrade to my 6year old system and one which is optimal for gaming from cpu prospective to reach 144hz and I know GPU play important role in 2k or resolution .

The over spending on expensive cpu like Intel is something I am cautious about and need suggestions.later although spend saved money on better GPU.

I finaly went with 3700x and b550 pro wifi mobo with high performance dd4 ram instead of spending lots money of i7 10 gen with cooler and mid range expensive mobo with older pci support , was not worth it due it has 10% high on 1080p resolution and 2k or 4k its all same for 8 core 16 thread latest process from amd.

Intel is not that good price value perfomance on cpu. as in game gpu plays important role on 2k and 4k res
