Gaming case came with no SD card reader

Hi,
I bought a new case (a long time ago) for my new build and never actually noticed until now that it doesn't have an SD card reader. This is very important for me as I am a photographer and need to use an SD card slot. Yes yes I know I can just buy an external card reader, but I don't want more cable lying around. So I saw a slot in my case (in the front) that I can plop out like the optical drive slot cover, just smaller. I don't know what it is used for, and it made me wonder, can I buy a card reader, and install it in the little slot at the bottom? And what card reader should I buy for it?

(Case is not exact, but close enough)

As you can see in the picture, that little rectangle pop out cover, is it possible to put something like a card reader in there?

That is likey a drive space for 3.5" floppy disc drive. You can install whatever you want in it, same with the 5.25" drive slots above it. Here's a 3.5" SD reader.
