APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: Soon, 2-3 weeks

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming, and so it could be on for a night

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: Not sure, I live in Iceland so I use the site Computer.is and its
my most preffered one.

PARTS PREFERENCES: Good parts, not a MSI motherboard

OVERCLOCKING: No, and maybe graphic card in crossfire.

MONITOR RESOLUTION: I have 1280x1024 now but I am thinking about a 22

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: I would like a quiet PC, and good for gaming.

Oh well, I am buying a new pc mainly because it is pretty old expect my graphic card.

I will just give you links to computer.is, it is in Icelandic but you can still read the name of the things and specs
in English.

First I will tell you my current specs and then what I have on my mind.

Now I have:

Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core Processor 6000+* (3 GHz) AM2, Retail
http://www.computer.is/vorur/6559

MotherBoard: MSI K7N2G MS-6570 AMD (v1.X) ATX Mainboard (This one I got from my friend and I have no idea where it is from)

RAM: 2x Kingstone DDR2-667 1G Memory
Although it is gone from Computer.is

Power Supply: Corsair VX550W Black,
This one I got from Poland and I dont even remember the name of company

Hard Drive: Western Digital WD2500JB 250 GB ATA100 7200rpm 8 MB Hard Drive (Its like 3 years old)
http://www.computer.is/vorur/2393

Graphic Card: Power Colour ATI Radeon HD4870 512 MB PCI- Express

Computer Case: Some old all white little case.

Disc Drive: Pioneer DVR-112DBK, 18X Double Layer, DVD+/-RW Drive (Black), Bulk
http://www.computer.is/vorur/5613

http://www.computer.is/vorur/5155

And 3 motherboards died with my new Radeon 4870 through one year.
Thats also a reason that I would like Gigabyte instead of MSI for a motherboard now.

Okay, so I think that parts work together, and maybe I should get a AMD Phenom II 920 if I find a one and
another 4870 512mb?

And another question, Would:
Giga-byte ATI Radeon HD4870 512 MB DDR5, 2DVI/TV-out PCI-Express Video Card, Retail
and Power Colour ATI Radeon HD4870 512 MB PCI- Express

Work together if I would put them in crossfire?

Anyways thanks.

1. I think Crossfire/sli is overrated. You're better off saving that money and getting a 4890 instead.

2. Yes they should work should you choose crossfire. Make sure that all the specs are the same though.
