Okay, so when it comes to computers I know my stuff, I'm a computer technician and good with software. When it comes to hardware...? Not so much. I am updating a P.O.S. Computer right now.
I want a new CPU but I do not know what would be best for my mobo, or if I should just buy a new mobo and keep the shelling.
Here are the specs
CPU:
Name: Intel Pentium E6600
Codename: Wolfdale
Package Socket 775 LGA
Processor: Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU E6600 @3.06GHz
System Manu: Hewlett-Packard
System Model: HP Pro 3000/3080
Memory: 8 GIG Ram DDR3 Samsung
SSD: 240 GB Sandisk
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 745
(Unsure if you need this or not)
Main Board MICRO-STAR International CO. LTD
Model: 3664h
Chipset: Intel P45/P43/G45/G43
South Bridge: Intel 82801JR (ICH10R)
BIOS
American Megatrends INC.
So my question is, with my video card, my ssd, what should I do? Should I just buy a new computer? Could I upgrade this MOBO? This is for Gaming Primarily.
