Okay, so when it comes to computers I know my stuff, I'm a computer technician and good with software. When it comes to hardware...? Not so much. I am updating a P.O.S. Computer right now.
I want a new CPU but I do not know what would be best for my mobo, or if I should just buy a new mobo and keep the shelling.

Here are the specs
CPU:
Name: Intel Pentium E6600
Codename: Wolfdale
Package Socket 775 LGA

Processor: Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU E6600 @3.06GHz
System Manu: Hewlett-Packard
System Model: HP Pro 3000/3080

Memory: 8 GIG Ram DDR3 Samsung
SSD: 240 GB Sandisk
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 745

(Unsure if you need this or not)
Main Board MICRO-STAR International CO. LTD
Model: 3664h
Chipset: Intel P45/P43/G45/G43
South Bridge: Intel 82801JR (ICH10R)

BIOS
American Megatrends INC.

So my question is, with my video card, my ssd, what should I do? Should I just buy a new computer? Could I upgrade this MOBO? This is for Gaming Primarily.

What type of gaming?

You can go higher with the CPU to Q9550.
You can upgrade the GPU to one with DDR5.

Or keep the SSD and RAM and maybe the graphics card if it is the 4GB model
and you can go i3/i5/xeon and see a huge difference on a new motherboard
for fairly cheap. I'm unsure about the case and power supply though with
new insides so you might need that too.

Ya thats my main purpose of gettin it rigged up.
Thinkin I7 with honestly a 980. I don't really have a budget. Just now getting into building.
