Gaming computer build need sanity check

Building my 1st gaming computer trying to keep it around $700 to $800.

Swap the HDD out for Samsung F3.

If you wanna game, get at least a 1GB DDR3/5 gpu. HD 4870 does have 1GB versions. If you must, downgrade the PSU (overkill) to 500W (supports HD 5870) & upgrade GPU to HD 4890 1GB at the minimum or even better HD 5770 (DX11). And mobo to this:

Nope, you can use the stock AMD cooler. It's audible. You can turn on cool & quiet in bios to lower the cpu speed & temp & fan noise.

The important thing is you got the right core components for a gaming rig.
