Crossfire is the AMD version of Nvidia SLI so unless your going to run two cards on the PC it really doesnt matter but since you dont know what you'll be doing in the future i suggest you get a MB that supports SLI (or now known as NVLink). Keep open minded on having an M.2 Nvme SSD in your setup as your boot drive rather than the SATA III SSD aswell, they are coming down in price almost daily, or consider Optane (32MB) for about $50 and skip the SSD altogether using Optane to have your HDD act like an SSD anyway :) Don't know mush about Asetek CPU coolers so cant comment on that component....

Not a bad rig though mate, if you went with what youve chosen you wont be dissapointed anyway !!!

A very nice case, you could build as is.

But, I have some suggestions:

1. I think the 9700K is going to be the go to processor for gaming.
2. I might wait for the Z390 motherboards to launch.
I think the power delivery capability of the motherboards are going to me needed or at least useful for the 9th gen 8 core processors.
3. You have a nice case and 3 front 120mm intakes is all you really need.
The only fan I might add is a single 120mm exhaust fan to direct airflow.
If all the front intake is filtered, your parts will stay clean. Adding more fans will draw in unfiltered air.
4. Your case has 170mm available for a good tower type air cooler.

Use a dual tower cooler like the noctua NH-D15s. It will cool just as well as a liquid cooler in your case, be more reliable, be quieter, easier to install cost less and will not leak.

5. For a top end build, I would use a m.2 pcie ssd like the Samsung 970 EVO.
500gb is fine. If you can go 1tb, you may never need a hard drive at all.
It is easy to add a hard drive later if you need bulk storage.

6. 750w should be sufficient for anything.
It is not clear to me where the evga GQ 850w unit falls on this list:
https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/631048-psu-tier-list-updated/
I would be inclined to use a Seasonic focus gold in the 750w size.

7. SLI is generally not a good thing if you have a suitably strong single card option.
In this case there is a rtx2080 and rtx2080ti.
sli or dual gpu shows well in synthetic fps benchmarks, but gameplay is better with a single good card.
dual gpu is prone to stuttering and screen tearing.
More games are omitting dual gpu support.
crossfire is the amd equivalent to sli.

GTX2070 costs more than a 1080 while barely matching it in most games...sometimes....

Unless you think you will live and breathe at the altar of ray tracing someday, the 1080 is the better deal...; if you have the money to contemplate blowing it on SLI, then simply get a 2080Ti instead.....

wow thanks for the quick replies.
i do not understand half that was said but now its my turn to research.
if you guys can can you give me a modified build going the route i am. i am trying to save more money when i can. I dont need a top end build however i do want it to last and need to run games like cs:go. i'd appreciate it very much. i was thinking of buying the build from cyberpowerpc however i actually want to try and put it together myself to make it neater.

wow this is hard.
can someone make me a pc build under 1500 on the pc part picker website. ive been looking for weeks and its killing me lol. i really want to build my own

Build it yourself... yes.
When buying new, I always go for the latest gen products.

But you need a bit of patience.
The new 9th gen processors are not available yet, but will be soon.
You can pre order the i7-9700K for $420 on newegg now.

A Z390 based motherboard is available now .

No need for an expensive model, many are in the $150-$200 range.

RTX2070 is now available for $550 or so.
I like the EVGA units.
You get a 90 day trade up option if you want stronger within 90 days.

Buy your Corsair Crystal 570X case if you love it; about $180.

Buy a 2 x 8gb kit of DDR4 ram. Any will do, speed in the 3200-2600 range.
$160

I like the noctua NH-D15s cooler, about $85.

Here is a good deal on the Seasonic focus ultra gold; 12 year warranty. $105 after rebate.
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151206

1tb Samsung 970 evo is $278.

Defer on the hard drive until you need it.

I do not know the total, but it should be in your budget ballpark.
