Gaming computer components

Does anyone know where to get computer components. I want to build a computer from scratch but I don't really understand all then advanced terms of computers. I was looking for a site that is good for beginners and explains what it is I am buying.

pcpartpicker.com is a good jumping off point. Also study up on what components you need for the type of computing you plan on doing. You could also just make a post here. All you need is to say how much money you want to spend, what you plan on using the computer for and where you're located. At least 3 people will provide you with a list of parts you'll need.
