Gaming computer lagging

I got a new computer with a MSI GTX 1060 OCV1 i5 7400 16gb ddr4 psu is a bronze 80+ bronze. i bought it 1 day ago, this is my first time running it and i can see that it lags alot, when i turn on the windows, i can barely do anything, it takes 10 minutes to launch a game, my friend has the same game and a worse pc and it launches in a frew seconds. my hdd is 7200rpm 1tb. any solutions? also looked up at youtube that the rig i have dont get the fps that it should get. thank you

Open task manager and see if your disk usage is high or at 100%

Did you try updating your drivers to the latest version? Scan your PC afterwards just to make sure, then restart.
