hp compaq dc 7800 with a core 2 duo e6600 2.33ghz 8gb of ddr2 ram and a radeon hd 5450 512mb with windows 10//////// a hp compaq pro 4300 with an i3-3220 3.3ghz 4gb of ddr2 ram and a nvidia geforce 9400gt 1024mb with windows 10 which would be be better gaming wise

I know these aren't gaming machines but its the best i can do with my budget also the compaq dc 7800 has a 240w psu and the compaq 4300 pro has a 300w psu

What about going without a bit longer and saving up for something reasonable. You need right about $500 US to even get entry level and that will be disappointing in most AAA games. It will do well enough at most e-sports games.

Those systems will run 10-year old games at low settings as they weren’t gaming cards even when they were released.

The system with the i3 would probably perform better. Graphics cards should be roughly on par, but the i3 is a fair bit better CPU. Also, an i3-3220 doesn't support DDR2, so it must be 4GB of DDR3.
