good evening ladies and gents,

I want to upgrade the graphics card on my current gaming computer, to get more fps, but i dont know if I actually can... here is my setup:

motherboard: Fujitsu D3332-A1
processor: intel core i5-4570 3.20 Ghz
graphics card: gt 1030
ram: DDR3 8 GB
rom:500 GB + 128 GB on SSD
power supply: 250W max continuous out, 280W max surge output

I wanna fetch
-XFX RADEON RX 580 8GB GTS
-a thermaltake smart RGB 500W, cause a friend of mine told me the supply was too weak

is it possible to perform such an upgrade?

thanks

Solution
I am guessing this is a pre-built system... if you are planning on getting these parts it will be ok but I recommend a better PSU, something like this:https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Certified-Modular-CP-9020102-NA-Refurbished/dp/B07HMBQSML/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&qid=1546727798&sr=8-7&keywords=550+watt+power+supply&linkCode=ll1&tag=xm3a06-20&linkId=9c3e4d0e78b4ae9bb4a392b11693a7c5
If you want to run all the new games then I recommend you buy another 8GB of RAM as well, you can get one of those two...

https://www.amazon.com/Kingston-HyperX-FURY-2x4GB-1600MHz/dp/B00J8E92I0/ref=as_li_ss_tl?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1546727876&sr=1-3&keywords=ddr3&refinements=p_n_feature_five_browse-bin:677427011,p_n_feature_two_browse-bin:16955284011&th=1&linkCode=ll1&tag=xm3a06-20&linkId=cb39cabae49db75e3e2f52f643dc69db
I recommend the HyperX one.
You should get a bigger SSD as well because if you planning on gaming with the HDD you will experience a lot of frame drops, you can get this 500GB SSD for really cheap that will be your gaming library: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0784SLQM6/ref=as_li_ss_tl?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&linkCode=ll1&tag=xm3a06-20&linkId=73f33cd7c1fda2566d8ae06ae2d8ab3e
And yes for the GPU the RX580 will be the best option you can get: https://www.amazon.com/XFX-Radeon-1386MHz-Graphics-RX-580P8DFD6/dp/B06Y66K3XD/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&qid=1546728098&sr=8-2&keywords=rx580&linkCode=ll1&tag=xm3a06-20&linkId=4becfe5e5cbdfb4afe019bfa978362e4
The only thing I am concerned about is your case, what case you have with this PC? Because if it's a pre-built then I guess it's not a very big case that can fit all those parts.
