Hello i was wondering how much fps does a gaming console like xbox one or ps4 gives.
And is it cheaper to buy a gaming console to get good fps instead of assemling a gaming rig.

Solution
All console game are over 30fps for sure. It depends on your resolution. For example;

Battlefield on the Xbox One at 720p does 60fps, whereas Battlefield on the PS4 at 900p also does 60fps.

By online reviews and most console player personal reviews I've noticed that people think the PS4 has better graphics, and I too believe that!

Computers however, is another matter. PC's can go from 10fps to like 1000's+ fps depending on your hardware. The more and better hardware you choose to use, the more money it's going to cost. If moneys not an option, create an extreme gaming rig, with water cooling, loads of storage, the...

This is toms, the answer you're going to get on this site will always be "build it yourself". That being said, while I personally build my own rigs, it's a pain in the ass to do. If you are fine with the limitations that the consoles have, then I say get a console. They CAN BE less money, and 100% less hassle. This is from a guy with an x99 system, with water cooling, a 980 and all that good stuff.

Depends on the game but most games run at 30fps at a resolution lower than 1080p. A gaming console is a bit cheaper, for a good gaming pc that is far superior to consoles you would need about 600 dollars, 500 dollars would get you something about equal to a console in gaming performance i wouldn't try to build a gaming pc for any cheaper than that.

If moneys not an option, create an extreme gaming rig, with water cooling, loads of storage, the latest graphics cards in an SLI config or whatever because you will, without a doubt, triple (maybe even more) console fps.

You can get a good gaming pc with steady and smooth fps for a really good price if you budget well, maybe for roughly around 600 pounds if you buy all the components and build it yourself. It's not very hard to do if you research about it first, and if you're not adding a custom water cooling loop 😉 As you can see, it's a big difference from the 250/300 pound price tag of a console!

Hope this helps you c:

Most games on Xbox One and PS4 are locked at around 30 FPS on most games. But most of the games on the consoles do not have full 1080p. That's why I switched to PC.

If you don't want to spend all the money on a PC then a console is a excellent option that is on par with PC standards.
The consoles have EXCLUSIVE content too, so if you want to play Halo your stuck on Xbox One (Which doesn't hold up well against the PS4 as you can see in the link), and then there is probably Sony titles not available on XBox as well.

Depends what your putting it on. Yeah a older TV or 60Hz LCD it looks fine, but with a 120Hz 1080P it looks crappier,. but that also depends on what level of detail is included and how the game is tweaked. If your trying to compare 'experiance' with a PS3 / Xbox 360 to PCs that has nothing to do with how a PS4/Xbox One shows. Much different tech and whatnot, that it looks alot better because the NexGen consoles have beefier memory and GPU performance than the old systems.

As I linked, we are talking using the PC model as the 'baseline' of how a console performs. That is how they 'perform' at the 'display setting' (note 1080P is BluRay style big image, while 720p etc. is low end quality) and speed to 'perform' that way (FPS). There is always a trade off including on PCs, UNLESS your willing to spend $2K for a ProGamer's Rig.
