Gaming CPU For Foxconn g31mx Socket T (LGA775)

Hello i play a lot of games but my computer don't, its only a P4 3.0 Ghz 2gb ddr2 ram and a Geforce GTX 650 form msi, i know what ram cards to get, but i cant pick a cpu ther are so many and budget so little, i have never overclocked anything always wanted to so open to trying that, if some one would explain how, my knowledge of computers is ok so should understand what your saying.

Here is the CPU support list info. The best CPU your board can handle is a Core 2 Quad Q9650. You might need a bios update first.

yea the Core 2 Quad Q9650 is nice but way out of my price range im not looking for the best that my computer can handle i only have like 60£ to spend

Then get the Q9550 or Q9450, the Q9650 is overpriced (like £100 on ebay? lol)

I saw a Q9450 sell for £40 last week

Get the fastest C2Q you can afford that is on the supported CPU list.
