Gaming / Editing CPU

I need a CPU that is around less than 300$ that can render videos quickly and is able to run games like Battlefield 4 and EVE online; EVE is a very CPU intensive game. Can anyone direct me in which way I need to go? i5, i7, AMD something. Thanks for the input. I render around 1 hour long videos using Sony Vegas. Right now I have a GTX 550 ti (upgrading to a 760) and an AMD Phenom II BE x4 965. Thanks!

It is a bit over $300, but the i7 4770K would be your best bet.

-The best for rendering and and gaming in that range would be a i7-4770K if you OC or a i7-4771 if you don't.

If you live close to a microcenter you can pickup the i7 4770k for about $250.

You will have to upgrade your motherboard also if you go core i7. If you don't want to change your motherboard, you will have to stay with an AMD CPU.
