Im looking to get a new gaming pc in a couple weeks. I know the GPU prices have skyrocket but Im not waiting 3 months. I have a higher budget and I can compromise for better performance. My budget is $5k and I wouldn't want to go over $5,700. I want to play max settings 1440p/4k depending on the game. This will be my first ever computer build. I was going to buy a prebuilt but I know this is going to turn into a passionate hobby. The games I will be mainly is GTA 5, Arma 3, PUBG, Black Ops 3, and Fortnite. Probably going to have to be SLI. Any recommendations will be appreciated

1. What are your storage requirements?

2. What kind of editing? For all I know you can mean editing Word documents or hundreds of hours of 8K footage.

3. Which is the priority gaming or work?

4. I know you don't want to wait. Consumer range nVidia Volta are due soon. If the Titan V is any indicator. The next gen will be a big step up. The 2nd generation of Ryzen is also due soon.

5. SLI is generally a waste of money. There are some games which do considerably better. Some do a little worse. Most show little or no benefit. It will also be very difficult to find matching cards right now. Very few games can't be played at 4K max settings with a GTX 1080 Ti.

Anyways, although I think SLI is unnecessary. This build includes it. If would make for a powerful workstation and gaming computer.
