PC - I7-6700, 16GB RAM, Nvidia GTX 960 - Windows 10
Monitor - ASUS 169B, 15.6", Full HD 1080P, IPS, USB Monitor

OK, I am disabled and basically restricted to lying down. I have my PC attached to a 32 inch 720p TV which is about 10 ft away. I want to play some games, mostly MMO's, that require reading some text which is too small on the TV.

I purchased the above USB Monitor, to have a screen closer to me, I have it on a swinging arm and it is plugged into my PC via the USB 3.0 port.

Are there any limitations to gaming on this portable monitor? I loaded up one game, it seemed to work. I just need to know if there are problems I can't foresee. I have been out of the business for awhile, and I am not clear even how USB monitors even work, how the GFX card gets info, if that's how it works, to the USB port. Any help is appreciated.

I see one other question like mine, but it's not clear. I also have access to a 3.1 USB port for a better monitor if that's what I need, or should I just have to get a regular monitor and string all the wires across the room?

Solution
For MMO and other "slower" type games, there's no problem.
For FPS or MOBA games, there is a problem.
A USB monitor will have a fairly noticeable lag/delay between action on your end and action on the monitor, but this will really only affect games where you have 0.01 seconds to react to stuff. Most things you do in MMOs are far more lenient in the time you get to react to them, so you should be all good to go.

There's no significant difference between a 3.0 port and a 3.1 port either.

Just uhh double check the model of the monitor, the 169B is only a 720P monitor and the 169B+ is a 1080P monitor.
