[Gaming] Headset or Heaphone,

Hi guys, searching in the web i saw some people telling to not buy headsets, but buy a good headphone and use a cheap mic like the zalman one. So do you think is better to do that? i can spend 50 dolars on a Headphone/Headset.
i saw some cheaper Sennheiser. Anyone know about these models?

The Sennheiser HD 419s are your best choice out of all of those. The problem with Turtle Beach, and many other gaming headset brands, is they have lower sound and build quality, Turtle Beach and Razer being the worst offenders. While they are not BAD headsets, you do have better options, like the Sennheiser, that will give you MUCH better quality.

What is your budget? I wouldn't go with either of those if the HD 419 is also in your budget.
