Gaming in a laptop

Guys I have a laptop with a i7 2.6 ghz processor, 8 gb ddr3 RAM with motherboard from the manufacturer. Will install a graphics card make my laptop playable to most games?(guys I am new to such stuffs so, if my hardware are not decent don't make fun of me.) Thanks.

You cannot install graphics cards on most laptops. Even some gaming laptops do not have user replaceable graphics cards. Sorry
